FISHED BOOT LAST WEEKEND. WAS IN ABOUT 15-20 FEET OF WATER ON A SANDY FLAT. CAUGHT 5 NICE PERCH WITHIN A HALF HOUR (10 TO 12 INCHES) USED WIGGLERS, MOUSIES, & MINNOWS. ALL THEY WANTED WERE MOUSIES. FISHED FROM 8 - 11 ENDED UP WITH 8 NICE ONES AND LET A FEW LITTLE ONES GO.

1-5-02 - All day on Boot, worked hard, no bites. Never saw a fish with the camera. Nice day, quite a few fisherman, heard of one guy with two perch. Most of lake has 5+ inches but bad around point on NW side. Foot or ATV travel only & BE CAREFUL!

The lake has just froze over on 12/26/2001. Made it out on one of the small bays for walleye caught 2, only one was of legal size. Had about 6-3 inches in the bay I was fishing. The ice was not ready for perch searching yet, but should be safe by next week some time.

We hit some... bout 40 between the bunch of us, in 23-25 feet of water they were hitting on mousies.

Fished for 2 hours today and failed to get a bite. They didn't want waxworms, wigglers or minnows. They were not in 25 feet of water and they were not in 10. I wonder if there are any left?

Nice pike were nailed this weekend on Boot, using medium
golden shiners on tipups. Also caught 21 beutamos perch for dinner on mousies on a green #10 teardrop in 23 feet of water.

Been catching some limits of perch on good days.
7"-12" perch in 23'-30' of water on mousies.
Some small vehicles have been driving out.
